Canvey Island lies just outside London and suffered the worst natural disaster in modern British history - the 'Big Flood of 1953'.

Trapped behind a crumbling sea wall and now dangerously close to massive concentrations of hazardous fossil fuel storage, Jan, Malcolm and George fear another deadly disaster will happen to their home on the East England coast.

Their fears of a repeat of 1953 are brought to life in this lyrical dystopian film, that imagines a future not dissimilar to real archive of the past.

On Canvey Island, trauma is a disorder of time.
